This time of year tends to be a time of reflection. Looking back 2016 was a year of quiet progression. Building skills, pushing myself harder and generally getting more time to do the things I wanted to do. The thing is, I am forever in competition with myself and others. 2017 must be a time to re-focus and look to achieve greater goals. I am therefore setting myself some rather public resolutions.
- Strava – 2016 saw me fall out of love with Strava, to the point where I just stopped taking my Garmin out on rides. It meant my training suffered, I could not see progress and achievements. In 2017, all activities will be uploaded. Training can be more targeted and progress will be faster!
- Yoga – Currently I use Yoga as a form of stretching after rides with a weekly strengthening session. For next year, my aim is to make Yoga part of my lifestyle. Most people see Yoga as stretching, it can be so much more than this. 2017 will be full of morning wake-up sessions, core strengthening and targeted meditation sessions to allow me to remain in tune with myself, stay focused, clear and driven.
- Blog – In 2017 I plan to blog more, write more and develop more content. This last year has been progressive, building up the website, developing social channels and learning lessons. For next year a big focus of mine will be 2 or more posts each week, growing my content and building up engagement. I love hearing your stories and experiences. Sharing and inspiring each other is one of the main reasons I built What Emma Found.
Don’t forget to keep an eye out on my challenges page for all upcoming events in 2017.
